Review of Ward C23 written by a family member
14th August 2018

-Get some water dispensers so there is no need to ask for water every hours or so. -Get some better chairs for husbands/partners so they can make most of the 24/7 vising policy (i.e. stay for the night). Also the toilet is miles away... -The staff seemed busy. I asked for pain killers for my wife and she got them 2h later after asking again. - My wife's bed was next to bins/sinks so it was a bit strange having people showing up sometimes...(when we had blinds open). But the worse was the loud noise when closing the metal bin lid. Mostly staff did it and did not care. Our newborn was 3 feet away from it and was waken up many times because of the loud noise. -Tea/Coffee/Biscuits/Cakes were offered to patients and sometimes to partners/husbands. I was unsure if I can ask for it or not - only waited to be offered one which was super nice from the staff. But it's unclear who gets it. Just offer it to both parents please :)

From the moment I walked in to the hospital which was followed by a 2 night stay for the birth of my little girl, I was treated with amazing care both before and after. All staff that tended to me were brilliant, making me also feel at ease. Thank You!!

Dr Phelan made me feel very involved about the decisions regarding my c section and I was very happy with the operation and all the staff and the way I was treated. All the ward staff were amazing especially Jessica who looked after me on c23 throughout the night. Thank you

Cannot fault the maternity services at Warrington hospital, it's world class. My experience wasn't easiest (yet again) but everything made easier by excellent doctors, nurses, midwives, support staff and I didn't have a single complaint. Without this hospital and it's amazing maternity and neonatal care one of my children wouldn't even be here. The stand out excellence of the care aside from top notch medical care is the compassion and kindness shown by all staff at all times and they are a credit to the hospital and our nhs. Thank you.

There is absolutely nothing great, good or even average about the service it is beyond doubt and undeniably appalling. To provide a list of constructive suggestions would in all honesty take more characters than I am allowed to use in this section of the form

Review of Catheter Lab Warrington written by a patient
3rd July 2018

I was greeted warmly by reception staff who arranged for my collection immediately to be taken to my ward. Once again in the ward the staff were totally professional and diligent with regards to my care. Theatre staff were helpful in informing me of procedures and helped me relax. Overall from start to finish an experience which reflected well trained staff who were committed to patient care

Review of Endoscopy Unit Warrington written by a patient
25th June 2018

Every member of staff on this department were helpful and very kind and thoughtful. I have Parkinson’s and they took this in to consideration, helping me get on and off the bed and talking to me all the way through the procedure as I only had the throat spray not the sedation.

I attended the A&E dept at Warrington on Tuesday 19 June 2018 and was seen by Dr. Tom Byrne in the Primary Care Unit, within half an hour of checking in. After some questions relating to my visit, he examined me and suggested I have a contrast ct scan to see what was going on. Unfortunately not having had one before I had an allergic reaction to the contrast and was then given meds to reverse it, the staff being on the ball and very attentive and nice. Due to this I was kept in for a 6 hour period to make sure I was ok but I had confirmed I would stay in till the next day to get the all clear to return home. I got the results of the scan and thankfully all good. Dr Byrne was really nice as were the nurses on the A&E ward, so thank you to them for all their kindness and attention making it possible for me to go home with no worries. The new system in place and which is on trial, is absolutely wonderful and I can't praise it enough and hope it will become a permanent thing.
